We are collaborating with Beam Therapeutics to learn more about the barriers to gene therapy in Sickle Cell Disease (SCD) such as financial, educational, geographic, clinical, social factors. SCD Warriors that are 18 years or older or their parent/legal guardian, who reside in the US and can read, write and communicate in English (and have not participated in BEAM-101) are welcome to participate. Participants will complete an online survey (approximately 30 minutes), answering questions about your experiences in navigating the decision-making regarding use of gene therapy. Qualified participants will be paid $75 upon completion of the survey. The link to participate will be shared when the study is “live.”
