Health Insurance Literacy in Myotonic Dystrophy Type 1 (DM1), An Interim Report

Myotonic Dystrophy Type 1 (DM1) is a progressive, inherited disorder caused by mis-splicing of key genes (i.e., a spliceopathy) resulting in loss of muscle function and affecting the central nervous system. Dyne Therapeutics and the Myotonic Dystrophy Foundation are conducting a study to understand health insurance literacy and access barriers among people with DM1 and their caregivers, helping to guide programs that improve access to future treatments.
